The following is a list of the materials we accept at each site:
Plastic #1 - Usually 2-liter soda bottles or other-sized drinking
bottles. Check the bottom of any plastic container and you will usually
find a recycling logo with a number inside it. That's the kind of plastic
used to make the bottle.
Plastic #2 - Usually things like gallon milk jugs or bleach bottles
are made of #2 plastic. Again, check the bottom if you're not sure. You do
not need to sort these by color.
Cardboard and Paperboard - This refers to corrugated cardboard
(usually used in bigger boxes) and the boxes usually used for cereal boxes
and 12-pack containers. You may have to break down bigger boxes to
make them fit through the slot.
Newspaper - Magazines are now accepted in this bin, along with your
newspaper and brown paper bags!
Steel Cans - Also called tin or bi-metal cans. Here's a simple test:
if you stick a refrigerator magnet on it and it stays there, it's a steel can.
Aluminum Cans - Usually used to hold soda or other beverages.
Again, we are NOT accepting glass at this time. At this time, we simply don't have the
room to properly recycle glass. Your cooperation is appreciated.
